Misted double glazing and broken glass replacement

If there's condensation between the panes, or the glass is cracked or broken, the glass unit can usually be replaced on its own while the frame stays in place. We supply and fit replacement glass for windows and doors across Bridgwater and Somerset.

Why double glazing mists up

A double-glazed unit is two panes sealed together. When that seal fails, moist air gets in and condenses between the panes, so the window looks cloudy and can't be wiped clear. Replacing the sealed unit restores a clear view without replacing the frame.

Broken glass

A cracked or shattered pane is a security and safety issue. Send us a photo with the size of the window or door and we'll give you an estimate for the replacement glass.

Common questions

Do I need a new window if the glass has misted?

Usually not. The misting means the glass unit's seal has failed, and the unit can be replaced in the existing frame.
